Summer Nursing Camp for grades 6th, 7th, 8th

This one-week pre-college summer program is designed to educate students about the opportunities available through a nursing career. This inspiring and innovative, entertaining and educational program exposes students to the mechanics of the nursing profession.

Participants are actively engaged in learning the fundamentals of nursing, including CPR and First Aid. Participants also tour Oakland University, interact with nurses in the profession (job exploration), and utilize our new physical assessment laboratory to learn about patient assessment skills.

With such expressed interest in this program, we will only accept 20 participants for the 2025 summer program. All interested applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

Type: Full day, 9am-4pm daily
Dates:  July 21st - July 24th
(limited to 20 students)
Location: School of Nursing
Cost: $500 per camper (includes t-shirt and course materials and lunch)
What to Bring: Campers must bring their own snacks and water bottle
Other Notes: Report card and letter of recommendation from science
teacher.
